TEKNIK PEMBENIHAN IKAN MAS (Cyprinus Carpio)

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Pinang Merah Fish Seed Center, West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province from December 2, 2025, to January 2, 2026. The purpose of this study is to directly observe and gain clear experience regarding carp (Cyprinus carpio) breeding techniques for further development, as well as to understand the problems encountered in carp breeding business and their solutions. The method used in this research is the descriptive method, with data collection techniques including primary and secondary data. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and active participation. Goldfish spawning is carried out naturally. The goldfish broodstock used comes from the Pinang Merah Fish Seed Center. The weight ratio between male and female goldfish is 1:3. Water quality parameters for goldfish breeding include: temperature 25°C – 30°C; pH 6.7 - 7; and clarity 30 cm. Based on research results, the cleavage phase occurs approximately 10 hours after the eggs are released from the female, 9 hours after fertilization, and the gastrulation phase is a continuation of the blastulation process. The gastrula phase occurs 10 hours after fertilization, at 10:30 AM, and continues until 8:00 PM. From 9:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the organogenesis phase occurs, and signs of life become clearly visible in the goldfish eggs.
