This research uses coconut fiber as a reinforcement of composite materials with random fiber methods and different volume fractions for each manufacturing process. The matrix used as a binder is Polyester BQTN 157. Manufacturing is conducted by molding in the pressing process with the squeeze casting method at a pressure of 10 Kg. Tensile testing conducted refers to the standards in ASTM D638 – 02. The purpose of this study was to determine the maximum tensile strength and fracture pattern of the composite materials of coconut fiber at a volume fraction of 10% fiber 90% binder, 15% fiber 85 binder and 20% fiber 80% binder. The test results show that the optimal tensile strength is produced by coconut fiber composites made at a volume fraction of 20% fiber and 80% reinforcement with a tensile strength value of 11.21 N/mm2 with an almost uniform fault pattern model and categorized as complete break
